Set in 1.5 acres of beautiful gardens in Somerset, Random Thatch, the unique 17th century rustic haven is a beautiful natural space and showcases The Studio: modern rustic decor, featuring art and sculpture using sustainable living materials derived from foliage, wood, and botanicals.
In the summer of 2020, Random Thatch was the last house we viewed right before lockdown. We obsessed until we bought her. Run down and in need of much love and attention, we moved ourselves in, camped out on a blow up mattress (with multiple spiders), and began our journey to bring this darling house that had been empty for over a year, back to being a family home once more.
Both artists inspired by nature, the garden at Random Thatch is one of our greatest joys and source of fresh new creative inspiration in botanicals, wood, willow, and twine. Come visit our new shop, where you can get into our Random Style of dried flowers, candles, rustic interiors and original artful pieces. We’d love you to follow our home journey on Instagram @randomthatch. Check out our journal Random Reads (over on jogbliving) too and all botanical, aromatic candle and comfort store at JOGBLiving that were first created in Somerset and have come back to their spiritual home.
Home is the ultimate comfort, especially in times of stress. Nature has made us all hyper aware of how precious life truly is in scent times. At Random Thatch we are all about creating peace and harmony in your home environment: we hope we can inspire you.
